Recognized expertise
A niche of excellence at Université Laval since 1989, COPL – ULaval draws on a rich tradition of innovation, strategic partnerships, and high-tech business creation. With some twenty professors with multidisciplinary and complementary expertise, it trains a highly qualified workforce to meet the evolving needs of industry. It also remains at the forefront of innovation by conducting an ambitious research program focused on major scientific challenges with applications extending to several key sectors.
Research and development
COPL - ULaval supports its employees in their search for technological solutions by providing them with experienced research teams and state-of-the-art equipment. R&D support services cover a wide range of expertise, including the design of specialty optical fibers, advanced characterization, the deposition of thin films with unique properties, microfabrication, and the integration of innovative solutions in optics and photonics.
Production support
COPL – ULaval offers specialized support in component manufacturing and optical performance optimization, process replication, and the implementation of rigorous quality control methods. This service ensures the reliability and reproducibility of the technologies developed, facilitating their transfer to commercialization.

Grâce à une vingtaine de professeurs aux expertises multidisciplinaires et complémentaires, il forme une relève hautement qualifiée répondant aux besoins évolutifs de l’industrie.
